Career in design is for people who have a creative outlook and are able to form innovative connections between colors, shape, materials and textures. Designers are required in nearly every field whether in designing cars, clothes, buildings, products, logos, theatre sets, merchandise sets, landscapes etc. While most indulge in computer-aided designs, a basic fine art is also intrinsic to designing. Design has wide variety of sub fields including graphic designing, fashion designing, interior designing, web designing, set designing, industrial designing, visual merchandise designing etc. Each of these categories requires a domain specialization. One can select their area of specialization on the basis of their interest, skill and aptitude.

Case in point being TBZ which is known for its breathtaking design in wedding jewellery and one of its designs has been a game changer for the brand.

FURNITURE DESIGN

Who isn’t fond of showing off their home to their relatives and friends. A beautiful table or a cabinet isn’t something which should be pleasing to the eye but also must have great user experience. Additionally, with today’s mobile population – it should also be easliy dimantled and assembled.

Case in point being Ikea has enthralled millions of people worldwide with its ease of use and the space it has created for itself in people’s hearts and lives.

ACCESSORY DESIGN

Today’s corporate honcho is always surrounded with people and every component of their attire matters in the way people look at them. What stands out amongst the entire package are the accompanying suite of accessories – the wallets, the buckles, the cuff links etc. A well designed accessory can command a premium in the market and earn a name for the designer globally.

Case in point being Michael Kors is a globally known brand when it comes to accessories too with his awe inspiring stuff and any new collection just flies off the shelves.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Real Estate in today’s times is expensive and every square foot counts. To top it off our living and working spaces have to be exquisite as they reflect our personality. Interior design is an esential component of most corporates to attract the best of talent and sustainably keep them. This has led to a spike in demand of Interior designers who either work independently or in association with real estate companies.

Case in point being Shabnam Gupta who is an ace interior designer and a rage amongst Bollywood stars. Her work for Irrfan Khan’s home went viral on the internet.
