IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) is an aptitude test (currently) offered by 2 IIMs: IIM Indore IPM and IPM Rohtak, for admission into their 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). This 5-year programme includes the MBA Programmes of the respective IIM.
Both IIM Indore IPM and IPM Rohtak are amongst the top B-Schools in the country. However, IIM Indore IPM and IPM Rohtak are two different exams and in order to gain admission into either IIM Indore’s or IIM Rohtak’s programme, you have to write their respective IPMATs.

What is the IPMAT Exam Pattern?
This 2-hour exam is a computer-based online aptitude test, where the order in which candidates attempt the sections is already arranged. Both of these exams are usually conducted around April and May. There are quite a few differences between IIM Indore IPM and IPM Rohtak despite both IPMAT exams having a similar exam pattern and syllabus.

Every question carries 4 marks and every incorrect answer will cost you 1 mark (except for the Quantitative Ability SA Section, which is more particular to IPMAT Indore). There is no negative marking for skipping questions in the IPMAT.
Note: Based on your IPMAT scores, an Aptitude Test Score (ATS) is generated. Candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds based on their ATS. Following your PI and WAT, a merit list for admissions is created based on your final Composite Score (CS)
